The Inside-Out Data Centre

The project is about the concealment of the data against and the exhibition of the machinery
needed to make it run.

It aims to express the functional needs of a data center, while keeping the information safe and hidden. It is a game of the ground floor versus the underground, a game of abstraction and rationality and how the rational creates the exhibition on the ground.

The aim is to reveal the necessary requirements of a data center to the public, when they are often hidden and unseen, in order to create an awareness of the working machine.

It is taking this approach because it is not the organisation of computers that it is found
interesting, it is what goes on behind the scenes where we found our opportunity for design.
Flipping the building inside out and exposing the services - which is the true hero of the complex network.
